Real time and rapid film creation.

Film development and realtime simulation of architecturale spaces is now an economic reality for architecturale conception as integral part of the design workflow enhancing design conception and feedback bring new levels of
experience to the design community.

Well why should we get all excited about BIM (building information model)background ..after all we get the job done with good old Autocad and that only a load of pesky lines and 2d representations of orthogonal projections.
in a nutshell heres my pound of flesh about it  after 15 years in 3D apps...

1. Ensures coherent plan section and elevation of the SAME projet...no more checking if the columns on floor 2 are on floor 1 and if the windows line up plan/elevation etc !

2. make sections as and where you like instantly from model. ....Infinately flexible impossible in Autocad.

3. Fully Automated surface and volume calculations for each building element/material type....
Enormous flexibility and speed increase in shedules and Costing updates base on  Element database
created automatically by the software.

4.Enables direct 3D workflow into rendering/Visualisation and real time building environments such as 3DSMax, UNITY3D,UDK,CRYSIS,Sketchup and Rhino etc

5.Interactivity between Sructurale and Climatic Modules of REVIT allows intelligent optimisation of building envelope, energy conservation,  consultant partners use unique building model data enhancing interoperability between members of the design team.

well that just what spings to mind but that just a start.....
Morning,
well today marks my first import export explorations from REVIT 2013 to 3dsmax 2013 ..lets see how they can work together, i have allready imported revit 2012 from other projects in the past as DWG files which worked without problem but this new direct file import shouls mean mayor productivity increases...

Worth a mention that the sketchup file format is natively impotable to REVIT 2013 and 3dsmax since 2012 a good source of models is to be found from  googles "3d warehouse".

well today gotta tell you guys about a great link to revit tutorials
http://therevitkid.blogspot.fr/
this is a student to student tutorial site and very informative. i am currently learning fast using this..
it also has many good links to use of BIM (building information model) technology uses and a great article on the HOK dali museum design using REVIT.

cheers
